Lomita Post-Acute Care Center Staff,

It has been four months since my mom came to Lomita Post-Acute Care Center. I am sad to tell you that my mom passed away yesterday; in peace. It was a short four months under your care but because of your love and care, my family was able to have very important quality time with her. To everyone at Lomita Post-Acute Care Center I thank you from the bottom of my heart for every effort and care you have given to my mom. Again, my family and I sincerely thank all staff at Lomita Post-Acute Care Center and we will pray for you.

To the wonderful staff at Lomita, I am so appreciative of how supportive and kind you’ve been to my dad all week since he arrived. As I head home to Colorado, I am reassured that we have chosen the right home for dad. Thank you all so much.

I would like to personally thank you for the wonderful care you and your staff took of my dad during the last days of his life. He was happy and content at the end after Father Jim came in and gave him last rites the day before he died. All of the staff, the Director of Nursing, and everyone who came into the room to help dad through his last 10 minutes or so, were incredibly sensitive and professional and calm. It was a very special moment for me knowing that dad had lived a full and wonderful life and despite him being difficult sometimes, he was in the end, loved and respected by everyone who knew him. All of you made this time so much easier for me just by being so professional and loving and attentive. Thank you to whoever organized the beautiful flowers. They were gorgeous and unexpected and we put them up in the front of the church. Again, thank you for all you did for my family and I. It is with great respect that I endorse your wonderful care center whenever anyone asks me. Thank you and best wishes,

I’d give Lomita Post-Acute Care Center 10 stars or more, but I’m only given 5. My grandfather was here in 2002 and I can’t say I was disappointed one bit. They have set visiting hours & sometimes by the time I’d get off work it would be past the hours. They were extremely flexible and allowed me to come visit anyway. When it was his birthday they allowed us to bring him birthday jello (wasn’t allowed dairy) and sing to him. The staff was great, the administrator is a god-send and made the transition for us smooth as can be. My grandma and I were visiting one day and she had a diabetic attack. The staff went above and beyond to care for her by bringing her a chair, catching her so she didn’t do a face plant, brought her orange juice, and cared for her until she felt well enough to stand on her own and go home. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AND TO ENTRUST THEM WITH THE CARE OF YOUR LOVED ONE.
